The Embedded Systems Conference partnered with the Drive World Conference and Expo is just around the corner. DISTek is gearing up to host a booth at the event in Santa Clara, California August 27-29 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
On Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 11:00 AM, DISTek will be giving a 45 minute presentation entitled: The Functional Safety in Autonomous Vehicles Is Not an Afterthought, at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC 2018), held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Human Nature and Requirements Elicitation: Lessons Learned
You would think that the easiest, least challenging, part of developing a software solution for a customer is to ask them, “What problem do you need solved?,” to which the customer would simply and clearly answer it in one or two paragraphs. Yet, that is far from the case. Of the various phases that occur during the development life cycle of a software project, the phase with the greater opportunity for cognitive interference is the requirements phase.
While I was attending the Embedded Systems Conference this year in San Jose, there was one session that peaked my interest. The session was “Design Patterns for Embedded Systems in C” from Bruce Powel Douglass, Ph.D., Chief Evangelist from IBM IoT(Internet of Things).
This year the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) was held in Boston, Silicon Valley and will be held in Minneapolis later this year.
