It’s been a crazy couple of weeks around the office. We’re moving what feels like a thousand miles a minute as we put the final touches on our presentation for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017. Yes, you read that right, the DISTek crew is headed to Las Vegas next week for THE international construction industry show. This year’s show is running March 7 – 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Here at DISTek we just competed our 24th full calendar year as a company, which means our 25th anniversary happens in 2017. We are excited to think about our future as we pass this milestone, but it is also healthy to step back and review what we did in 2016. We took some bumps and bruises along the way – as did many in the industries we serve – but we also had some exciting successes.
As an embedded developer of machine controls, the ultimate test for your software is to run on the target machine. Whether it’s an agricultural implement, a wood chipper, or a concrete paving machine, there comes a point where the software needs to meet the motors, solenoids and sensors. The problem that we all face, though, is that program managers almost always want to have the software ready to run the prototype as soon as the machine is assembled.
